Project Scope

With an outdated website codebase and no CMS was in place for regular updates and multi-user capability, HotelEngine team reached out to me and my friend at Brent Thelen Designs to build their website using modern code and best practice for both a scalable website and overall better user experience.

We created a completely custom theme using WordPress CMS. Using Advanced Custom Fields Pro, we created flexible and customizable content that can accommodate for text, video and imagery and inline CSS styling. This was done on a page-level with a few clicks.

Design had to be strictly on-brand and follow all guidelines. We ensured that we could bring life and engagement to the user experience though a use of subtle animations and scroll-based behaviors present on every page. Everything also needed to load quickly and respond to any device with the correct feel.
